The 1832 Presidential Election in Alabama

On November 12, 1832,[src] Alabama's voters voted for seven at-large electors. Two electoral slates ran, both Democratic; their difference was in running mates.

The candidates pledged to Barbour:

  • Jack F. Ross
  • R. J. Swearingen
  • Robert Walton
  • Alexander Word

The candidates pledged to Van Buren:

  • William Edmondson
  • William P. Gould
  • Henry King
  • George Phillips
  • William R. Pickett
  • Theophilus L. Toulmin
  • John J. Winston

There was also a National Republican slate.
